For US hunters
Hunting in Canada from the United States
If you hunt in the United States, you already know the drill at home: apply, wait, bank points, and maybe, years from now, draw a moose or elk or sheep tag. Our hunts do not work that way. We run guided big game hunts on guaranteed outfitter allocations in Alberta's Rockies, so the tag comes with the booking. No draw, no lottery, no points. You pick a date and you hunt.
The gateways are Calgary International and Edmonton, and our backcountry camp near Nordegg is about three and a half hours' drive from either airport. Bringing your own rifle is the same for every US hunter: the RCMP Non-Resident Firearm Declaration, form 5589, and a flat CAD $25 at the border for non-restricted rifles and shotguns. Pick your state below for the hunt that fits it, the flights that work, and how it compares to drawing a tag at home.
