Nordegg funnel
Nordegg, Alberta
Nordegg is a small place with a big backyard. It sits at the edge of the Blackstone and Wapiabi country in the Alberta foothills, about 3.5 hours from both the Calgary and Edmonton airports, and it is the jumping-off point for the kind of horseback, wall-tent backcountry hunting that motorized access rules keep genuinely wild.
Our Alberta hunts run out of cabins at the Blackstone and Wapiabi river junction northwest of town, in a zone where motorized vehicles are prohibited. If the appeal of a hunt is as much the horses, the camp and the country as the animal, this is that hunt.
Note: the recreation rates on the pages below are published figures. Confirm current availability with us before planning a non-hunting visit.
