Pack trips and wall-tent life
A pack trip is the backcountry hunt stripped to its oldest form: load the horses, ride in, and live out of a wall tent. It is also the best way to understand the country before you ever book a hunt in it. We run trail rides and multi-day pack trips out of the same Nordegg backcountry, with published rates below.

What wall-tent camp is like
Pack trips run on wall tents with all meals included. The multi-day trips take you into the same Blackstone and Wapiabi country the hunts work, so if you have ever wondered whether the horseback backcountry life is for you, a two or three-day pack trip answers it. For camp meals, the published add-ons are a $20 lunch and a $40 steak supper.
Booking notes
Published booking terms for the recreation side are a 25 percent deposit with free cancellation up to seven days out. Treat these as published figures and confirm current availability with us first. If your real interest is a guided hunt, start with our Alberta hunts.
